My name is Kim Martindale and I’m a full time mother of two little girls. My husband and I live in the suburbs of Memphis, Tennessee. In the summer of 2010 I started on a journey to healthier, more sustainable living. This journey is my personal response to all that I’ve been learning about peak oil, climate change, the growing economic crisis, the environment and natural, preventive health care. It is my intention that this blog be a resource and an inspiration for myself and those who want to join me in this new adventure of living more simply, healthfully and sustainably. My hope is that my family and my community will becoming more resilient, healthier and prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
I am also using this site as a database to collect and organize stories, books, blogs, websites, videos, films and articles related to the topics that challenge, inform and inspire me. You can read about my personal journey in the category, “Kim’s Journal”.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
Friends,
I just created a petition entitled Label Genetically Modified (GMO) Food Products, because I care deeply about this very important issue.
I’m trying to collect 10,000 or more signatures, and I could really use your help. (maybe you can put the petition on your website?)
To read more about what I’m trying to do and to sign my petition, click here:
http://www.change.org/petitions/label-genetically-modified-gmo-food-products?share_id=ifyQgjyEuw&pe=d2e
It’ll just take a minute!
Once you’re done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word!
